Well that's what I'm saying. We inherited the legacy of Europe and for the elitist society of America European music was the standard. And it's only just recently that people are beginning to question that, is this old music that we inherited from Europe. Is this the standard that we should hold up for ourselves now in 1998 going into the second millennium and so forth? Are we still going to genuflect to these old values? Or are we going to look at what we actually have and build off that. And we have a very, very, very rich musical culture here, a very rich artistic culture, but it's been largely ignored because of the legacy that was brought here from Europe by the Europeans who invaded this country, four hundred, five hundred years ago.
