I'm talking about actual time. So I get all my students, they have to go out and buy one or two Oscar Peterson duo or trio records with no drums. The time of course they don't need it, the time is sensational, and they have to practice with that as part of the lesson -- to get a groove. But a lot of people don't practice rhythm. But when I was young, for some reason, I don't want to sound like oh wasn't I so smart, it seemed like common sense -- gee if I'm going to go to New York and try to sit in, you know, what if But Powell pulled "Cherokee" and it happened. And I had a record of "Cherokee" by Don Byas that was faster than anything in two beat [sings]. And the drummer played it a two beat style -- do you follow what I mean?
