They were so high you could not see across the street. I would say 10 feet - 10 or 12 feet high. I mean stacked up. They had men out there with shovels. They got paid. That's when the city would pay them with shovels, get the shovels to shovel the streets, so you could get through there. It was not too far removed from the horse and buggy days, really. It's really rough. The weather is something else.
