Anita O'Day was a natural. She was a natural thing. You don't have - today they develop them and they make them. The way they bring them in - they bring them in through the jazz thing. They make them jazz singers. Then they move up to be the top jazz singer and then go on to be pop artists. This is the way it works. This is very controversial. I mean, I'm speaking of a can of worms and saying it as it is. These are the things that are happening in the industry today. The difference in the time I came along, you could be black, white, green, yellow, no matter - if you could sing, or you could interpret a song, you had a chance to be popular. You had a chance to become somebody in your field. Today, that's not the case.
