I guess what I was thinking was, in the case of Lester Young and Mingus, two of the most highly individual people in the history of jazz, getting kicked in the ass by them early on and still maintaining your integrity, I think is impressive, to me. The other thing I wanted to ask you was, the other challenges of your life - we've touched on the women. We've touched on the career - but the other challenges - I remember the story that went around about you, when Everybody's Somebody's Fool came out, and people were saying, "That's not a man. That's a lesbian in drag. " Jimmy, you must have heard those stories. Did you hear those stories? Or not?
