I think that her ambitions were to be a concert pianist. To understand my mother, she was absolutely driven all her life to raise up above her situation. She was in a town, Concord, that didn't have a high school. So she took one of the wagons and a horse from her father, and went to all the farms and orchards and said, "Would you pledge money to build a high school? " So she's the one that was driven to have an education,  even if she had to go out and create a high school. She graduated from Concord High School.
