Yeah. Because to me, the melody is the strongest thing. I mean I think I write strong melodies because I concentrate on the melodies. Melodies are what makes a song. I mean you could have chords going but the chords -- I prefer to write a melody before I write the structure. It dictates the structure, as far as I'm concerned. Because in the end it's the melody that the people are going to be whistling walking down the street. And a lot of people have told me that they wake up in the middle of the night whistling some of my songs. If I didn't write in that way, I don't know if they would whistle somebody's rhythms. Something about melody, it changes you.
