After the Pearl Theatre and the Brunswick recordings we went back to Kansas City, they were with me - I mean I was with them then, after the Pearl Theatre. So we went into the (Wehnwood) Beach there for that summer, I guess about 3 or 4 months or so. Then after that we came back to New York to record for Decca. I think we went in the (Wehnwood) Beach around '31 or '32, I'm sure. During that period before we came back to New York to record for Decca we played Fairyland - (Wehnwood) Beach, Fairyland, and places like that. The band began to rise after that, because we came back to New York to record for Decca and we recorded every day for 2 or 3 weeks. They just kept me in a hotel, somebody'd bring me sandwiches. I wrote 20 things in one week. They were all hits.
