Richard Habersham-Bey: I’d give them a play, I’d give anybody a play… At that time we had a lotta these bar magazines. On that same block there were about five bars: we had the Baby Grand [Brooklyn] on one corner, we had the Arlington Inn around the corner, we had a bar on the corner of Fulton and Bedford [Unnamed music venue (Fulton Street/Bedford Avenue)]… we had about five or six bars on one block, so there was a lot of people just walking about.
