Harold Valle: The groups that I was involved with were into more or less the Latin vein, Willie Colon and that type of salsa. So it wasn't really until I became involved with Sam Pinn and Torrie McCartney with Jazz 966, up until then I was still listening to my jazz collection. I used to write poems and when I got to Jazz 966, Sam Pinn gave me the opportunity to recite some of these poems. So I began writing poems about the artists that were appearing there, so I have a catalogue of a lot of the artists that appeared at Jazz 966.
