well how is it and this is a curious thing what ever pianist I'm talking to, I always ask, how did the shift of the direction of jazz come? How did that happen you know, all of us take piano to take piano and then for some reason or another we begin to migrate or magnetize toward one pole or another. How did it happen that yours was in the direction of jazz, or was it innately in the direction of jazz?
