I have a thing I've had going for years and year now, when I'm on the road and I have to perform with the trio, even in nightclubs, after 5:00 at night, I don't speak to anybody.  Because mentally, I'm already thinking about that gig, you know? I'm thinking of all the things that I could do tonight that I maybe perhaps did not do last night or the night before, that I should correct and do properly, and it takes that kind of thought.
