Yeah, a director in New Orleans, John Grimsley. The libretto - not the libretto, but the book was compiled by Charles E. Gerber. Gerber. Gerber and myself and John Grimsley. Kenneth Brown, Jr., is going to be acting. On the live show itll be Winard Harper and Jason Marsalis] alternating - my little brother - Dezron Douglas on bass, Mark Gross on saxophone. Don Byron is playing, and two of Branford Marsalis Marsalis former students, Lynn Grissett on trumpet and Shaena Ryan on bari sax. David Bryant on piano. Is that everybody? I think thats everybody. And myself, of course. So thats it. I look forward to - Ive got some things in mind that we maybe could do with the Jazz Masters, that Id like to bring them to the schools. Its something that I just came up with, where we could maybe bring the Masters to a school like Berklee and have the younger musicians - the younger professional musicians accompany them and play the older recordings and talk to the young - just have a dialogue about the environment. What was going on when they played on these recordings? So that the younger students, they have an understanding. At least they are exposed, rather than just saying, okay, go listen at Kind of Blue. Lets see what you come up with. But after you talk to Jimmy Cobb and have him listening to it, and hes thinking, "You know what? We were in there and the guy ordered pizza at this point. " Youre bringing the humanity to the record, not just, this is something that we cant actually achieve. Its just something that, its like in a museum. But these were guys that actually lived. This was an important part of their lives, and this is the information that they left for us. Thats it.
