Well I guess the most famous was "South Rampart Street Parade. " That's the one that's played most today. They made a stock orchestration out of it. And so that got around. It's a New Orleans march, you know, which isn't everybody's dish of tea to play a New Orleans march because it's not exactly a thing for dancing but even Guy Lombardo, that was his big number. He'd play "South Rampart Street Parade," with Guy Lombardo and they'd get hot on it. But you know that's not a jazz band. Guy Lombardo was a very sweet, they called it "sweet music" in those days. There was "hot music" and there was "sweet music. " And this had a nice tempo and everything, and then all the old people loved to dance to Guy Lombardo. It's like Lawrence Welk today. He was the Lawrence Welk of those days, Guy Lombardo. "Sweetest music this side of heaven" that was there logo. Ours was "the greatest Dixieland band in the land," the Bob Crosby band.
