Well I must say the good Lord's been very good to us. Milt and I have been together over fifty years, and I must tell you that all the young wives, not all of them, but many of the young wives and the young musicians insist that they're going to start what you call a 101 -- is that the survey course you take when you start the college -- but this is going to be the 101 Mona Hinton course, which will enlighten them and kind of clue them in to a lot of little things that you should know when you start out on the road. Fortunately, in the early 50's I used to work in Chicago and they had this famous hotel there, the Dusava Hotel, and I worked there and it gave me an opportunity to meet a lot of the musicians. So I go back a long way. As I say it's just been beautiful. I mean I've had a chance to meet all the musicians, and all the years that I was traveling with Milton with Cab Calloway's band, I was the only female who traveled all the time, and I was like the den mother. I used to save their money -- those who would drink and couldn't handle it, I'd take their money away from them at night, and then when they got sober the next morning I'd return it to them. And I was just considered the den mother, and down through the years I've had this great opportunity to meet many, many, many, many families and I have extended families all over the world.
